Castle grounds

From the parking lot to the castle, it is 500 m along a paved road through the forest. You enter the castle grounds through the first gate, behind which is the ticket office. To the right of the gate are the remains of the burgrave's building. In the first courtyard, there is a kiosk selling refreshments, and occasionally there are also various craft stalls, such as a smithy or a stall run by sheltered workshops. The second gate leads to the second courtyard, where most of our cultural events take place. There are a wooden stage and auditoriumas well as benches for seating. From the second courtyard, turn right and climb 138 steps to the Baba Tower. The Baba Tower has a viewing gallery offering views far into the countryside. From the second courtyard, turn left and climb the stairs to the former castle palace and the Aehrenthal lookout point below the Panna Tower. The Panna Tower is not open to the public.
